Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace the buttons on the front of your Parrot Flypad.

Image 1/2: Total of 6 Screws are located in the back of the controller. Image 2/2: Flip the Flypad over
  • Use the Magnetic Mat to prevent loss of screws

  • Total of 6 Screws are located in the back of the controller.

  • Flip the Flypad over

  • Four 0.9mm T6 screws

  • Two 0.1mm T6 screws

  • Remove the six screws using screwdriver T6

  • Note: the bottom left and right are longer screws

Image 1/2: Be aware that the Buttons (L1,R1) may fall out (must be in place when putting it back together) Image 2/2: Two 0.7mm PH0 screws
  • Remove foam adhesive that connects the front plate to the motherboard

  • Be aware that the Buttons (L1,R1) may fall out (must be in place when putting it back together)

  • Two 0.7mm PH0 screws

  • Use PH0 tool for the screws attached to the motherboard

  • Pull motherboard out of the front plate

Image 1/3: Remove buttons from the front plate of the flypad and replace as needed. Image 2/3: Keep the front plate of the flypad facing downwards to prevent buttons from falling out. Buttons are designed to only fit in their correct slots and with the correct rotation. Image 3/3: Make sure the text on buttons L1 and R1 correctly line up with L2 and R2 when reassembling the device.
  • Buttons L1 and R1 will be loose and may have fallen out already. If needed, exchange L1 and R1 for new buttons before reassembling the Flypad.

  • Remove buttons from the front plate of the flypad and replace as needed.

  • Keep the front plate of the flypad facing downwards to prevent buttons from falling out. Buttons are designed to only fit in their correct slots and with the correct rotation.

  • Make sure the text on buttons L1 and R1 correctly line up with L2 and R2 when reassembling the device.
