Laptop Motherboard Replacement Guide
This guide explains how to replace a laptop motherboard safely and correctly.
Before starting, make sure you have the necessary tools, a compatible replacement motherboard, and a clean workspace.
Tools and precautions:
- Precision screwdriver set
- Plastic opening tool
- Anti-static wrist strap
- Thermal paste, if required
Important safety precautions:
- Shut down the laptop and disconnect the charger.
- Remove the battery if it is removable, or disconnect the internal battery before handling components.
- Protect sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Keep screws organized and take photos of cable connections before disconnecting them.
The exact replacement procedure depends on the laptop model. Always consult the manufacturer's service manual before removing the motherboard.
