    • BEFORE DEINSTALLING THE FILTER CUT OFF THE WATER LINE. Lay a Towel in the Fridge. Also cut off AC Mains. This is an opened Waterfilter. Inside is a sort of coal which adsorbs unhealthy particles. It has to be changed every 6 months or less.

  2. PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • First take out three drawers. The Meat drawer is top, the Vitaminsafe is in the middle and the Freshzone is lowest. Between Meat & Vitaminsafe is a Bottom which is snaped in with clipse. Use a plastictool or a woodpiece to open the clips and remove the bottom. There are no screws.

    • Behind the lowest drawer is an plastic panel, which can easy be pulled off. Now you can see the Water-reservoir for the Water Outlet. Also you can see on the right the hosing for the Waterfilter. There are no screws.

    • The Botton above the lowest drawer has a heating foil. Unscrew on the back a PH2 Head screw. Also is a PH2 in front left at the Filter's place. Now carefully lift the Bottom. Take out the Styroporfoam-Element. Then open the Plasticbag which contains the Connector for the Heating. You should cut-off the AC-Mains before unplugging this Connector.

    • Now you can remove the Heating; Top of the Bottom.

    • Open the shorter PH2 Screw to release the LED-Light on the Bottom. That's necessary because with the wires at it you could not pull out the chassis of the Bottom.

    • Now you can pull out the Chassis of the lower Bottom, use a Plastictool for the Clipse. Pull off the holder of the Waterfilter.

  5. PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 5, image 1 of 3 PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 5, image 2 of 3 PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 5, image 3 of 3
    • Here you have the a picture of the Filterholder. The Towel soaks the water

    • The Inputhose has 8 mm. The Output has 6,35 mm (1/4"). Lay a small Towel under the Holder.

    • Pull off the hoses. Some Water could come out. Mark the tubes with red and blue tape. So it will be easier to reasemle if a warrranty-check could occur.

  6. PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 6, image 1 of 3 PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 6, image 2 of 3 PANASONIC NR B 53 V1 Refrigerator Water Filter hosing to Extern: step 6, image 3 of 3
    • Now you need some plug couplings. Adapter from 6,35 mm (thats 1/4 inch) to 8 mm (thats 5/16 inch), Coupling 6,35 to 6,35 and a piece of hose 6,35. Carefully cut the hose nice and clean with a ahrsp cutter. Now easy click these parts together. Now you have a Bypass for the original Filtermount. :)

    • Now put it all together, don't forget the PH2 Screws and you are done.

    • Now you can mount an extren Waterfilter.

    • The first water will be black from the coal. Don't drink it. Also there is now a lots of air in the hose, so the water will flow unregular and cause problems and weird sounds. Give it some time, the problems will solve. :)

    • This is an Saw-Cut off the external Filter i've bought. You see the same adsorbing coal like in an original Filter.

    • It costs about 10 Bucks. The Original costs about 80 Bucks. Two Filters are needed every year. So this was a good Decision. Enjoy your clean Water. :)

    • Sorry for my bad english writing. I hope the pictures may help someone.
