Olight 7XR Battery Replacement

Introduction

The X7R Marauder from Olight is a great flashlight. Unfortunately, the batteries are permanently installed and, according to the manufacturer, cannot be replaced by the user.

If your batteries go bad after the warranty has expired, you can use the following steps to replace the batteries in your Olight 7XR flashlight.

What you need

  1. Olight 7XR Battery Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • The three screws on the side can be loosened by a 0.9mm Allen key.

    • The cover can then be removed.

    • The next four screws are encapsulated in silicone. A Phillips screwdriver (PH1) can simply be pushed through the silicone and the screws can be loosened.

    • The outer ring including the plastic cover can then be removed.

    • The electronics are now visible. Take out the circuit board by removing the two Phillips #1 screws.

    • After loosening the screws, the circuit board can be carefully turned over in the direction of the cables.

    • There is a plastic cover under the circuit board. This can be removed using the iFixit spudger.

    • The 18650 battery cells are now visible and can be removed.

what size allen key?

what size are the batteries?

The allen key size is H0.9mm

The battery size is 18650.

Lieben Dank für die wertvolle und anschauliche Anleitung. Eine Frage hätte ich noch:

Wie kann ich bei Ersatzakku die auf den Bildern ersichtliche Akkuverbindung denn anbringen und befestigen ? Die Ersatzakkus vom Hersteller sind ja einzeln und nicht 2er Verbindungen verbunden. Lieben Dank für eine kurze Rückinfo. Freundliche Grüße - Stephan

Bei mir waren Samsung Akkus verbaut 3000ma/h sind mit Lötfahne am günstigsten bei Kaufland bestellen. Einfach zusammenlöten und wieder vorsichtig zusammenbauen. Nicht die 3 Kabel beim zusammenbauen einklemmen. Bei mir war eins Original eingeklemmt. Funktioniert einwandfrei 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
