Introduction

The motherboard is a crucial component to any electronic device. If it becomes corrupted it will not be able to receive, process, and send information which will leave you with a blank screen. Be careful when removing the heat sink from the motherboard as the thermal paste can be messy.

  1. Flip the device over and use a plastic opening tool to remove the bottom cover.

  2. Remove the five screws using T6 Torx screwdriver. Remove the five screws using T6 Torx screwdriver.

  3. Remove  the power supply cord. Remove  the power supply cord.

  5. Gently pull the  fan away from the edge of the device.

  7. Remove cable by carefully pulling it out of the socket.

  8. Tilt and pull the motherboard away from the device.

    • Careful of the thermal paste indicated in the red marker.
