Nvidia Shield TV 1st Generation Controller Buttons Replacement

Introduction

You will need to replace the buttons in your controller if they stick easily or don't press down all the way. When removing the buttons, be careful as the buttons are not held in place by anything and can easily fall out.

What you need

  1. Nvidia Shield TV 1st Generation Controller Buttons Replacement, Controller Buttons: step 1, image 1 of 2 Nvidia Shield TV 1st Generation Controller Buttons Replacement, Controller Buttons: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Remove the indicated six screws using the T6 Torx screwdriver.

    • Use the plastic opening tool to pry the face of the controller from the body.

    • Make sure the controller is face down during this step as the buttons can easily fall out.

    • Carefully remove the indicated ribbon wires from the face of the controller.

    • Gently push the buttons towards you that you wish to replace.
