Introduction
The Launchkey Mini midi keyboard, designed for portable use, often takes a beating. Keys can get warped, stuck, or broken and the user is often forced to buy a new one. However, with this easy to follow key-replacement guide, the user can open their device safely and replace as many broken keys as they wish.
What you need

Make sure the device is not connected to a computer.

Flip the keyboard onto it's back so the keys are facing downwards

Remove the nine 3 mm screws from the edge of the back-plate using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the four 4.5 mm screws from the middle of the device with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

After all the screws have been removed, gently pull up on the back-plate, separating it from the rest of the device.

Disconnect the two cables connecting the keyboard to the motherboard by grasping the base of the cables and gently pulling them away from the motherboard.

Unscrew the nine 3 mm screws above the key brackets using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

After removing the screws, lift the keys away from the keyboard.

Grasping one side of the keys, separate the black keys from the white keys by gently pulling the two away from each other.

From here, you should be able to swap out the broken key(s) for replacement ones.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
