How to remove the LCD.

Turn off the cell phone.

  • You may need to take several attempts to lift out the battery.

Squeeze the flat end of the spudger into the crack right under the word "Nokia" on the back of the phone.

  • This step may be a bit difficult if you are removing the antenna for the first time.

If the gold antenna remained stuck to the door, you have finished removing the antenna from the phone.

  • There is nothing holding the rest of the phone together. Handle the rest of the phone carefully.

  • The LCD will be attached to the circuit board.

Detach the LCD from the logic board at the four metal hinges.
  • Detach the LCD from the logic board at the four metal hinges.

  • There are three pieces to the LCD: the front metal border, the LCD unit, and the plastic backing. Unless you are replacing the LCD, do not separate these three pieces.
