Introduction

This guide is to be used to install the plastic LCD screen cover in the case that it becomes damaged or no longer functions properly due to overuse. A Phillips screwdriver will be needed to complete this installation.

Parts

No parts required.

Remove wrist strap by unknotting the strap.
  • Remove wrist strap by unknotting the strap.

Add Comment

Open SD/Battery cover.
  • Open SD/Battery cover.

Add Comment

Remove the four screws on the bottom of the camera using the Phillips-Head screwdriver. Remove the four screws on the bottom of the camera using the Phillips-Head screwdriver.
  • Remove the four screws on the bottom of the camera using the Phillips-Head screwdriver.

Add Comment

Pull the silver side panels on each side. Pull the silver side panels on each side.
  • Pull the silver side panels on each side.

Add Comment

On the right side of the camera (that contains the wrist strap loop), use the  screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the backplate in place. Repeat this step for the left side.
  • On the right side of the camera (that contains the wrist strap loop), use the screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the backplate in place.

    • Repeat this step for the left side.

Add Comment

Pull the back silver faceplate to separate it from the rest of the camera. Pull the back silver faceplate to separate it from the rest of the camera.
  • Pull the back silver faceplate to separate it from the rest of the camera.

Add Comment

Press lightly on the outer surface of the plastic LCD screen cover in each corner. The plastic LCD screen cover should pop out of the back plate.
  • Press lightly on the outer surface of the plastic LCD screen cover in each corner.

    • The plastic LCD screen cover should pop out of the back plate.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
