Introduction

This guide is to be used to install buttons in the case that the buttons are damage or are no longer functioning properly due to overuse. A Phillips screwdriver will be needed to complete this installation.

Parts

No parts required.

  • Remove wrist strap by pulling the strap through the string.

  • Open SD/Battery cover.

  • Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws on the bottom of the camera.

  • Using fingers, pull the silver side panels from each side.

Image 1/2: Repeat this step for the left side. Image 2/2: Repeat this step for the left side.
  • On the right side of the camera (that contains the wrist strap loop), use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the back plate in place.

    • Repeat this step for the left side.

  • Using fingers, pull the back silver faceplate to separate it from the rest of the camera.

  • Using fingers, lift up button plate on the side closest to the LCD screen.

  • Pull on ribbon cables to disconnect ribbon cables.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
