  • Lift the Nerf dart cylinder and the firing mechanism (spring chamber).

  • Unscrew screws (2) from the cylinder rotator mechanism.

  • Remove the air plunger and the spring from inside the chamber.

  • Turn the spring counter-clockwise to free the spring. Be careful at the beginning and the end of the process.

  • Replace the spring.

  • The spring will be greasy. Don’t be alarmed. Be careful at the beginning and the end of the process because it is like getting a key ring on at the notches, particularly at the top of the chamber.

  • Tip: If dry, use a little vegetable oil on the O-ring before putting it back.

  • Return the plunger to the spring chamber.

  • Screw the cover back onto the cylinder rotator.

  • Place the spring chamber and the Nerf bullet cylinder back into the base.
