Introduction

Installing a new flex cable for the Motorola V276 phone

Image 1/1: Press down the button with one hand whilst sliding the back cover of the phone ''away'' from the antenna.
  • Locate the silver button on the back of the phone, near the bottom.

  • Press down the button with one hand whilst sliding the back cover of the phone away from the antenna.

  • The back cover should slide off easily.

Image 1/1: With a firm grip, gently lift the end of your tool up. The battery should easily raise out of its place.
  • Insert a plastic spudger near one corner of the battery (preferably one furthest from the phone's antenna).

  • Now that the battery is exposed, use your fingers to remove the it from the phone.

  • Use Spudger to remove rubber plug from upper left corner of the back of the phone

  • Remove the flex from the mother board using the Spudger

  • Slide flex cable through the tiny slit located in the hole on the side of the frame

  • Slide Flex cable through the rectangular hole in the bottom half of the frame

  • Remove the flex cable and the green logic board (still connected) from the frame of the phone

  • Using the Spudger detach the flex from the green logic board
