Motorola Moto 360 3rd Gen Battery Replacement

What you need

    • Use a T4 Torx screwdriver to remove the four 4.2 mm screws securing the lower case.

    • Gently pry the case open with a halberd spudger if the case will not release after removing the bolts.

    • Do not remove the lower case completely yet; this could damage cables connected to the lower case.

    • Raise the cover without straining the connected ribbon cable.

    • Disconnect the ribbon cable from the motherboard with a halberd spudger.

    • Use a halberd spudger to lift the three flat-top connectors straight up to disconnect them.

    • Do not disconnect the battery (bottom-left) cable yet.

    • Gently remove the motherboard using the halberd spudger.

    • The best area to pry is at the bottom of the motherboard, right under one of the ribbons that was just disconnected.

    • Flip the motherboard over so the battery is facing upwards.

    • Gently pry the battery out of the motherboard housing.

    • The best area to pry is at the top-left corner.

    • Take care not to puncture, bend, or twist the battery while removing it. A damaged battery can start a fire!

    • Disconnect the battery ribbon from the motherboard using the spudger tool.

    • Connect the new battery's ribbon to the motherboard.

    • Insert the new battery in the same orientation the old battery previously had.
