What you need

1. Step 1 Screen
  Power the laptop off and leave the lid open.
  
  As usual, take precautions against static electricity when working.

  Gently pry the plastic front bezel off the screen from the outside.
  
  Start with the top or sides, then free the bottom of the bezel from the hinges last.
  
  The plastic clips in the bezel are prone to bending out of shape slightly. This can make it difficult to get the bezel flat against the screen when reassembling.

4. Step 3
  Remove the screws that hold the display in place.
  
  Two screws are covered by some silver tape.
  
  Hold the display to stop it slipping or falling out.

5. Step 4
  Lift up the display, but don't remove it yet. It is still attached to the lid by the screen cable.
  
  Carefully unplug the screen cable while holding the display.

  If the new display came with a screen protector, replace the screws before peeling it off.
