Lenovo Thinkpad X201 Keyboard Key Replacement

Introduction

For this guide, you'll need to use a metal spudger to remove the individual keys from the keyboard. You can also use a plastic opening tool to remove the keys as well.

What you need

  1. Lenovo Thinkpad X201 Keyboard Key Replacement, Keyboard Key: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Turn off laptop by pressing the power button.

    • Use a metal spudger or a flat head screwdriver to pry up the desired key.

    • Again with the pry method, pry up the below component below the key.

    • Grab and pickup the square shaped component. This is the part that you can clean out.
