Introduction
If your Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5-1470 laptop speakers stop producing sound, you probably need to replace the speakers and can do so with this guide. This guide serves as a step by step procedure for the removal of the speaker system in the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5-1470. All you need is a standard Phillips #00 screwdriver, a plastic opening tool, and nylon tip reverse tweezers.
Before using this guide, ensure that the volume of the speakers is on and not muted to see if the sound still does not work. Faulty speakers can still produce distorted sound.
Steps 3 and 4 will have you remove the battery first because the wires that connect the speaker to the motherboard run from underneath the battery.

Remove the two 3.6 mm Phillips #00 battery screws located in the lower left corner of the device.

Remove the two speakers from their compartment. The speakers are held in the bottom corners of the device.
