Introduction
Over time, a laptop's battery may deteriorate simply due to use and charging cycles. If your Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15AST is no longer holding a charge or powering on, this could be due to a dead battery. This means it is time to replace it.
This guide will safely and effectively teach you how to access and replace the battery component on the laptop.
To start, you'll need to remove the back panel of the laptop to access the battery.
Warning: If the battery is swollen or corroded, please handle with caution as these battery's are fire hazards. You can refer to What to do with a swollen battery - iFixit
Be sure to power off the laptop fully and disconnect the charging adaptor before beginning the battery replacement or working with any internal components.

Remove the 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the laptop that secures the optical drive in place.

Detach the battery pack connector from the motherboard using your fingers or an opening tool.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
