    • Remove the 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the laptop which holds the optical drive in place.

    • Carefully pull the optical drive out from the laptop.

    • Remove the twelve 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the device.

    • Use opening picks or a plastic pry tool to remove the cover on all sides then lift.

    • Detach the battery pack connector from the motherboard using your fingers or an opening tool.
