This guide describes the steps to removing and replacing the Lenovo G780 battery that may be due to no longer holding charge, faulty charger or a faulty battery. The battery for replacement is a 6 Cell Li-ion type with 11.1 volts.

Turn off the computer.

Slide the battery-lock switch on the bottom of the laptop to the unlocked position.
