Steps to remove LG VX8550 keypad housing

  1. Slide the battery release up.

  7. Continue sliding the iPod opening tool around the seam of the casing to separate the front and back casings.
    • Continue sliding the iPod opening tool around the seam of the casing to separate the front and back casings.

  8. Separate the casing halves.

  9. Remove the 2 screws from the back of the phone with a Phillips #00 Screwdriver.

  13. Peel back but don't remove the blue tape to access the 2 center screws.

    • Remove the 6 slider screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  14. Lift the keypad housing away from the slider.
    • Lift the keypad housing away from the slider.
