What you need

    • Flip the phone over, so that the back of the phone is facing you.

    • Using an opening pick, pry open the back cover of the phone by moving the opening pick along all sides to reveal the internal components.

    • With the back side open, unscrew all the 1 mm Phillips #000 screws.

    • Remember to keep the screws in a safe place for reassembly later!

    • Take out the two brackets that are covering the internal components.

    • Remove the battery connection from its connector port, located above the battery.

    • Similarly, remove the screen connection from its connector port, found on the left side of the back of the device.

    • Pull up with tweezers on the dark orange cable to disconnect it.

    • Disconnect the orange cable by pulling the connector piece up with your fingers

    • Pull up with tweezers on the end of the white wire to disconnect it from the motherboard

    • Using the metal spudger, pull up from below the motherboard at the top of the phone and near the battery to remove the motherboard from the phone.
