Introduction

A battery replacement is actually quite simple to do for this tablet requiring minimum time and a few handy tools. You'll soon be able to go from no battery life to hours with this easy guide.

Gently pull the back cover away from the adhesive on the battery. It may be possible to use a blow dryer on low heat but I'd advise against it unless absolutely necessary.

I was going to do this to fix my son's tablet and then I looked up the cost of a replacement battery on eBay. Almost $100! Do you have a good source for a new battery?

Unfortunately, no, there does not seem to be a good part supplier for the G Pad X 8.0. As you mention, the best I see is eBay at $82.
