LG G Pad F 8.0 Motherboard Replacement

What you need

    • Place the tablet with the screen facing down.

    • Open the SIM port on the top right corner of the tablet.

    • Press the SIM card to pop it out.

    • Remove the SIM card from the tablet.

    • Use the iFixit opening tool to pry the back cover off of the tablet.

    • Work your way all the way around the edge of the screen, and remove the back cover when it is loose.

    • Disconnect the large, yellow ribbon using the iFixit opening tool.

    • Use the iFixit opening tool to disconnect the multicolor wire cables from the motherboard.

    • Disconnect the top of the orange ribbon cable from the motherboard.

    • Detach the front facing camera ribbon cable from the motherboard.

    • Remove the seven 2 mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Use the iFixit opening tool and pry up on the motherboard to remove it.
