Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace the loading spring in the Koosh Vortex Tornado.

Parts

No parts required.

Remove the fourteen 150 mm Phillips #1 screws on the side of the body.
  • Remove the fourteen 150 mm Phillips #1 screws on the side of the body.

Add Comment

Pull the shells apart to show the inside of the gun.  Set the left shell aside.

Using a spudger, unhook the barrel shield's spring from the base of the gun.

Slide the barrel shield and shield slide off of the gun and set aside.

Deck the Halls
With tools and Fix Kits
Slide of the rubber ring and set aside.

Lift the yellow trigger from its pin and set aside.

Use Phillips #1 Screwdriver to unscrew the two  30mm diameter by 125mm long washer head screws from the yellow loading bar lever.
  • Use Phillips #1 Screwdriver to unscrew the two 30mm diameter by 125mm long washer head screws from the yellow loading bar lever.

Add Comment

Lift the yellow lever bar out of place and set aside.
  • Lift the yellow lever bar out of place and set aside.

Use Phillips #1 Screwdriver to unscrew the six 30mm diameter by 100mm long screws  from the central firing assembly.
  • Use Phillips #1 Screwdriver to unscrew the six 30mm diameter by 100mm long screws from the central firing assembly.

  • Use Phillips #1 Screwdriver to unscrew the four 20mm diameter by 90mm long screws from the central firing assembly.

Add Comment

Pull the other side shell off of the central firing assembly.  Set the side shell aside.
  • Pull the other side shell off of the central firing assembly. Set the side shell aside.

Add Comment

Open the two sides of the central firing assembly to expose the spring. The two sides cannot be fully separated due to a pin holding the yellow collar tightly together.
  • Open the two sides of the central firing assembly to expose the spring.
