  • There is a button right above the F8 key.

  • With a spudger or plastic opening tool and push the button away from you.

  • Insert a spudger under keyboard and slide it along the length of the keyboard.

  • Do not attempt to remove the keyboard, as it is still attached to the laptop by a ribbon cable.

  • Remove the ribbon cable from the connector.
