Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine Water Pump Replacement

Introduction

Use this guide to replace a faulty water pump on your Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine.

What you need

  1. Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine Water Pump Replacement, Water Pump: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Unplug the washing machine!

    • Carefully lay washing machine on its back.

    • Carefully remove both wire harnesses connected to the pump.

    • Squeeze and pull back hose clamp.

    • Twist drain hose off of pump.

    • Using a 1/4" socket wrench, remove the three mounting screws.

    • Pull the pump out of place.

    • Pulling the pump away takes a little force.

The instructions say nothing of the pulley belt and wheel.

I'm looking to work on a 110. 81080100

and

I have read that transmission fluid leaks out when the washer is on its side.

Is there a way to temporarily plug it?
