Introduction

Don't dump your device simply because the camera isn't working! This guide will help you easily replace the faulty camera on your tablet.

What you need

Step 1 Back Cover

Remove the 4 exterior screws using a Phillips #000 Screwdriver .

Step 2

Pry the back case off using the blue Plastic Opening Tools. Work one along the seem until you can get your fingers under to pull it apart.

Step 3 Camera

Remove the two screws holding the internal camera in place.

Step 4

Carefully remove the tape of the ribbon cables attached to the camera.

Step 5

Using a plastic opening tool, lift open the tab that holds the connection between the camera and motherboard in place. The ribbon cable will become detached.

Step 6

Finally, detach the camera lenses from the cover by gently pulling them away from the case.
