JBL Grip Charging Port Panel Replacement

Introduction

This guide will show you how to remove the charging port panel on the JBL Grip speaker. This step is required to access and disconnect the charging port assembly for repair or replacement.

The panel is secured with multiple screws and connected by delicate ribbon cables. Care must be taken when removing screws and disconnecting cables to avoid damaging connectors or internal components.

What you need

    • Slide the Jimmy along the seam to separate the case.

    • Caution: Do not bend or puncture membrane.

    • Unlatch the membrane from the rest of body.

    • Remove the eight 6mm screws securing the panel with a Phillips #2 screwdriver.

    • Caution: Do not pull the cables by force. Ensure the latches are fully lifted.
