Instant Pot IP-DUO80 V2 Float Valve Replacement

Introduction

How to replace the float valve on the Instant Pot IP-DUO. This procedure and part is the same for the following models: IP-DUO50, IP-DUO60, and the IP-DUO80.

What you need

  1. Instant Pot IP-DUO80 V2 Float Valve Replacement, Float Valve: step 1, image 1 of 3 Instant Pot IP-DUO80 V2 Float Valve Replacement, Float Valve: step 1, image 2 of 3 Instant Pot IP-DUO80 V2 Float Valve Replacement, Float Valve: step 1, image 3 of 3

    • Remove the lid by twisting it counter-clockwise.

    • Place the lid upside down on a stable surface.

    • Remove the white rubber cover from the red float valve by pulling it off gently.

    • The red float valve will fall once the white cover is removed.

On my model, the metal housing broke off, looks like it will need to be welded back together to the lid.

How do you remove the house that the pin goes into? Mine has corrosion on the pin and inside that housing.
