The objective of this guide is to demonstrate how to properly remove the battery from the phone. The procedure involves getting a coin to remove the battery by rotating the cap until the battery comes out.
What you need

Hold the phone as shown in the photo for best access to the battery cover.

Insert coin into slit in the battery cover.

Twist the coin clockwise until the battery cover is released.

Pull out battery.

Replace the battery with a new rechargeable Panasonic Nickel-Cadmium battery.
