IBM ThinkPad t43 RAM Replacement

Introduction

Replacing or upgrading the RAM for the IBM T43 can give it a greater performance boost.

What you need

  1. IBM ThinkPad t43 RAM Replacement, RAM: step 1, image 1 of 3 IBM ThinkPad t43 RAM Replacement, RAM: step 1, image 2 of 3 IBM ThinkPad t43 RAM Replacement, RAM: step 1, image 3 of 3

    • To remove the cover, you will need to take out the single screw.

    • Unscrew until the cover comes off

    • Lift the cover from the edge and pull off

    • If the cover doesn't come right up and you have felt that you have unscrewed it, you can lift the cover and the screw will come off with it.

    • Place your hands on the clips and push on them outward until the RAM pops out

    • Place hands on the RAM and pull towards yourself

    • For replacement, follow these steps in reverse order

    • Make sure that when you put in the ram that the short side is on the right
