Husqvarna Viking Designer 1 Needle Replacement

Remove the thread from the needle by pulling it out.

Turn the knob counterclockwise to life up the needle.
Turning the knob clockwise can damage the machine.

Place a sheet of paper under the foot. In the event that the needle falls out, this will prevent it from falling into the bobbin area.

Hold onto the needle with one hand, and use a Singer #412381501 screwdriver to loosen the needle clamp screw (model: Viking #4125825-01) located next to the top of the needle with the other hand.

Discard the broken or unwanted needle, and select a new one.

Insert the new needle with the flat side facing away from you.

Hold onto the needle with one hand, and use a Singer #412381501 screwdriver to tighten the needle clamp screw (model: Viking #4125825-01) with the other hand.
