Introduction

This guide describes how to change the battery of the Huawei Mate 9 lite.

What you need

    • Heat the back of the device (e.g. with a warm bottle).

    • Then use a suction cup to lift the back a bit and insert a pick into the gap. Guide the pick once around the smartphone and loosen the glue, then remove the back cover.

    • Note the cable for the fingerprint sensor.

    • The back is made of a quite flexible plastic. Thus, you cannot easily destroy the back

    • There is a sticker with the serial number on the back. This has to be removed so that the suction cup holds well.

    • Loosen the two screws that fix the cable on the right above the battery.

    • Disconnect the cable and the cables attached to the same connector from the mainboard.
