The battery removal for the MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2014 requires a lot less parts removal to replace the battery. Steps are remove power, and start prying the battery out. Takes time and solvent.

Thanks for the guide, replaced the battery today and it was really easy with the iFixit kit. Now to keep this laptop going for another 10 years...
