Introduction
Problem: Screen is blank after start up splash screen. This seems to be a common fault with this printer and in my case was a relatively simple fix. You will need a T10 torx driver and some brute force. Basically there is a push fit ribbon cable that works itself loose on the main PCB. This has to be reinserted for the printer to work correctly.

Left cover removal: This unit is not designed to be serviced therefore some clips may break in this step. You will need to remove the darker upper plastic cover from the printer body.

Work your way around the edge with a suitable tool to release the panel. In the picture you can see where I started and managed to break the first clip.

Once the screws are removed you will be able to separate the body of the printer and gain access to the inner PCB's
-
TIP: You can remove the scanner lid and trays to stop them flapping around during this operation.
