How to Securely Anchor and Install a Towel Rack

Introduction

If you are also a descendent of the Hulk and have accidentally found out that you have super strength via reaching for a towel and having your entire towel rack come out of the wall, look no further! A solution has found you. It is because of incidents like these that remind us to be gentle with our towel racks, especially when they are installed improperly by the previous workers. Before moving forward with this project, perhaps do a bit of research on the specific towel rack you have. It will be important to remember that not all towel racks are the same and will disassemble in different ways. Secondly, when it comes to what sized drywall anchors to use, first be sure they fit into the holes. If you are drilling the holes yourself because you are installing a towel rack somewhere that has yet to have had one installed, again, be sure that your drywall anchors fit into the holes. Thirdly, make sure that the screws you are using fit snuggly into the drywall anchors by placing the screw tip to the head of the drywall anchor beforehand. Finally, remember that when using hammers, keep fingers away from the target! Descendants of the Hulk don't know their own strength, and we would hate for you to lose a finger!

Disassemble the mounting bracket by first unscrewing the screw from its side.

Place drywall anchors into the holes.

Hammer the drywall anchors into the holes.

Step 4

Place the mounting bracket onto the wall making sure that the hole with "UP" next to it is aligned with the top hole. Screw in a screw through the mounting bracket into the drywall anchors.
