    • Before getting started, make sure to shut down and unplug all cables from your computer.

    • Place the computer on a flat surface.

    • Lay the computer on its side, on the flat surface.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove any screws holding the side panel in place.

    • Use the handle on the side panel to pull it up to remove it.

    • Grip the side panel with both hands to fully remove it. This will give you a complete look into the internal hardware.

    • Be sure to touch the metal casing inside to ground yourself. Otherwise, you might accidentally damage the components from the static electricity your body builds up.

    • Push down on the release tab on the card retention latch to free the existing (old) graphics card.

    • Unlatch the PCIE clip. Gently remove the existing graphics card to make sure there are no cables caught.

    • Now grab your replacement GPU (graphics card).

    • Firmly place the new GPU on the bus (into the slot). Reclip the PCIE clamp to hold it into place.

    • Check to make sure the new GPU card is properly positioned to fit with the screw holes and expansion slots.

    • Pull up on the release tab on the card retention latch to secure the card.

    • Line the side panel up with the clamps and push it down to reattach the panel.
