How to Replace Hot and Cold Water Pipes for a Washer

Introduction

Before starting this guide, shut off your water to the washer and dryer. In this guide, valves are used. Some newer setups may use levers.
Mark the hot and cold water pipelines with a marker for proper visuals.

Using an adjustable wrench, disconnect the pipes carefully from the water supply side and the washer side.
After the pipes are disconnected, re-check the leakage and rust in the washer installation.

Rotate the adjustable wrench in a counter-clockwise direction to loosen the pipe connection.
Make sure to remove the old white Teflon tape. Use a bucket and a piece of cloth for water damps from the connection.
