How to Repair a Scraping Door

Inspect the door itself in order to check for the main reason for the scraping. If there are any loose screws, make sure to tighten them. If the door still scrapes, continue with the following steps

Use both your hammer and your screwdriver in order to push the door pin out of the hinges. Begin with the top pin, and continue using this method for the bottom hinge, and finish this step by removing the middle hinge last

Carefully remove the door from its frame, and carefully set it on its side in a secure place.

Retrieve your sanding block and use it to carefully scrape the bottom portion of the door. Make sure to occasionally check if the door will fit in the frame.

Carefully place the door back into its frame. While keeping a steady hand on the door, use your hammer and screwdriver to re-insert the door pins. Begin in reverse order from how you removed the pins.
