How to Reinforce a Hammock

What you need

    • Remove and discard any damaged rope from your hammock.

    • Use a power drill and a 3/8 size drill bit to drill small hole in one side of the tree.

    • Insert the screw eye screw into the hole and begin screwing it in to the tree until it is secured fully into the tree.

    • A screwdriver or flathead may be needed at this point to make sure the screw eye is all the way in the tree.

    • Attach the metal clasp to the rings attached to the end of the hammock.

    • Once your screw eye is inserted fully into the tree and your metal clasps are connected to the ends of the hammock you can attach the metal clasp to the the screw eye.

    • After attaching the hammock to the tree, repeat steps 1-5 on the other side of the hammock to the other side.

    • You will want to make sure that the second tree is at least 6ft-7ft away from the first tree.
