    • Identify and assess the damage on the heel of your cowboy boot.

    • Take a piece of sandpaper and sand down the inside of the broken heel.

    • Shoe Goo contains strong chemicals that are unsafe to inhale in large quantities.

    • Hold and apply pressure to the boot with your hands for at least 5 minutes.

    • Wait an additional 5 minutes for the glue to dry.

    • Measure the length of each side of the heel with the leather strip.

    • Cut two pieces of leather using scissors corresponding to the measured length of the right and left side of the heel.

    • If the leather strips are too thick, cut the measured leather strips vertically in half for thinner strips.

    • Place the strip on one side of the boot along the heel.

    • Mink oil waterproofs, restores, and protects the leather.
