Introduction
Engineers design car engines to operate at a set temperature. Maintaining this temperature is key, and without cooling, various internal engine components can overheat and fail catastrophically. A radiator helps to keep an engine within this operating temperature by cooling hot liquid from the engine. Clearly, a leaking radiator is of great concern and must be addressed. This guide will walk you through the application of K-Seal, a product designed to combat minor radiator leaks.
What you need
-
-
Pull up on the release lever to open the hood.
-
Underneath the Hyundai symbol in the front of the car, there will be a lever. Move the lever to the side to unlock the hood, then you should be able to lift the hood up.
-
-
-
Angle the hood prop into the hole on the underside of the car hood to keep it in place.
-
-
-
This is the coolant reservoir, which holds your cars coolant to keep the engine from overheating during use.
-
This is the radiator cap that is connected to the radiator. The cap itself regulates the pressure in the radiator to prevent overheating!
-
-
-
-
Take the cap off, pour the coolant into the tank then close the cap.
-
-
-
Slowly pour the entire K-Seal container into the radiator before closing the radiator cap.
