Introduction

This is how you get better connection for your amplifier, which can be the cause of it not working. The main issues that happen when your subwoofers are not working includes improper wire connection, blown fuse, or shortage in wiring.

What you need

  Disconnect the black (negative) cable from the battery to disable the electrical connection.
  
  Always disconnect the negative cable before the positive cable.
  
  Disconnect the red (positive) cable from the battery to disable the electrical connection.

2. Step 2
  Pull the fuses out and make sure that they were not blown.

4. Step 3
  Undo and remove all wires from the amplifier.
  
  This should include the battery wire, ground wire, speaker wires, remote wire from the radio, and sound wires that also come from radio.
  
  Remove and check the fuse from the amp to make sure it is not a blown fuse.

5. Step 4
  Strip the wires so they can have a better connection.
  
  Twist the exposed copper wiring to make it easier to connect to the amplifier.

6. Step 5
  Replace the wires in their designated slots.
  
  Tighten the clamps all the way down.
  
  Wiggle and tug on the wires to make sure they are secured nice and tight.

  Replace the battery wires.
  
  The red wire should go to the positive side, and the black wire should go to the negative side.
