Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace the hot plates on your HPK12. Do not begin working on your device without unplugging it from the wall.

No parts required.

Image 1/2: Flip device and remove other round plastic cover near cord base. Image 2/2: Flip device and remove other round plastic cover near cord base.
  • Remove round plastic cover near cord base by prying under the side.

  • Flip device and remove other round plastic cover near cord base.

Image 1/1: Make note of washer on screw (outside diameter of 10mm)
  • Remove 5.5mm PH1 screw under the plastic cover.

  • Make note of washer on screw (outside diameter of 10mm)

  • Push center pin through to the other side.

  • Remove spring assembly.

  • The open side goes into the recessed area of the iron

  • Remove two 3.5mm “J0” screws that attaches control assembly cover to flat iron base.

Image 1/1:
  • Lift upward on the control assembly cover to remove it from the flat iron base.

  • Remove dial and switch cover and set aside.

  • Remove two 6mm “J0” screws that are attached to the flat iron base.

  • Life upwards to remove the backing plate off the flat iron.

  • Remove two 4mm “PH0” screws that attach the circuit assembly to the flat iron base.

Image 1/1:
  • Lift plate and circuit assembly away from flat iron case.

Add Comment

Image 1/1:
  • Flip device to access the non-control assembly flat iron arm and remove two 3.5mm “J0” screws that attaches cover to flat iron base.

Add Comment

Image 1/1:
  • Lift cover from flat iron case.

Add Comment

Image 1/2: Image 2/2:
  • Lift heating plate away from flat iron case.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
