Introduction

We will gain access to the screen, enabling us to replace it with a new screen.

Place Visor Edge face down. Notice the tab connecting the flip cover to the back of the PDA.

  • Do not pull on the flip cover to try and remove it from the PDA.

Remove the six 4.1 mm Phillips screws from the back plate using the #00 Phillips Scewdriver.

Remove four 2.6 mm Philips screws that are on the sides of the frame. Remove the remaining 3.9 mm Philips screw holding together the stylus holster and the frame.

Remove the four 2.6 mm Philips screws on the top and bottom of the frame. Remove the four 2.6 mm Philips screws on the top and bottom of the frame.

Remove the white frame from the PDA.
  • Remove the white frame from the PDA.

  • The frame may get stuck on the corners so be very gentle when working the corners off.

Wedge the spudger in between the glass and the metal frame. Slide the spudger down the length of the screen to detach from the frame.

  • With your hands, pry the screen up from the detached side, and the screen will pop off.
