Introduction

The drive shaft is essential and may possibly have a stripped gear, causing the blade not to turn. There are several steps in order to take this out and replace it. Beware of lubricant along the bottom of it.

  • Remove the cover by turning it in the counterclockwise direction.

  • Remove the bowl scraping mechanism by simply grabbing the middle section and lifting.

  • Remove the blade mechanism by lifting it off of the blade shaft.

  • Place hands on bowl and turn it gently, but firmly, counter-clockwise.

  • Make sure there is no food or grime along the outside sides of the bowl or the base.

Image 1/1: These covers are adhered to the screws.
  • Using the metal spudger, remove the four adhesive plastic covers that hide the screws.

  • These covers are adhered to the screws.

  • Remove any access glue that is adhered to the screws with the precision tweezers.

  • Using a JIS #1 driver, remove the four 10 mm screws.

  • Lift the drive shaft.
