Introduction

After following the troubleshooting procedures and all of the previous steps did not work it may be time to change the motherboard ground wire.

Image 1/3: Remove the four 6mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver. Image 2/3: Remove the four 6mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver. Image 3/3: Remove the four 6mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  • Remove the screw caps using a metal spudger.

  • Remove the four 6mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Image 1/3: Remove the back panel by lifting the panel away from the device. Image 2/3: Remove the back panel by lifting the panel away from the device. Image 3/3: Remove the back panel by lifting the panel away from the device.
  • Unclip each side by inserting the plastic opening tool and slide it along the edges.

  • Remove the back panel by lifting the panel away from the device.

  • Disconnect the battery clip using small plastic spudger.

  • Unclip the ground wire from motherboard terminal using tweezers.

  • Remove ground wire using solder iron.
