    • Remove the five screw covers across the back edge of the laptop

    • Remove the 13 screws that hold the base in place.

    • Carefully pry up around the edges of the laptop. Take your time around the ports as they can easily get damaged.

    • Slowly lift the top case/keyboard upwards and disconnect the three ribbon cables.

    • Disconnect the battery from the main board.

    • Unscrew the 8 screws holding the battery in place.
