Introduction
Use this guide to replace a damaged or faulty display assembly in your HP ProBook 640 G4 laptop.
The display assembly includes the screen, hinges, and cables. If your screen is cracked, flickering, showing discoloration, or not displaying anything, the display assembly may need to be replaced.
Before starting, try connecting your laptop to an external monitor to confirm the issue isn’t related to software or graphics.
Make sure to power off your laptop and disconnect it from any power source before beginning the repair.

Insert an opening tool into the black thin cover on the outside to remove the display bezel.
