What you need

  1. HP Pavilion dm1z-3000 Cooling Fan Replacement, Cooling Fan: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Shut down the computer.

    • Disconnect all external devices and cables from the compute.

    • Find the black sliding tab next to where the battery is located.

    • Slide the black tab until you hear a click.

    • Gently remove the battery.

    • Gently lift the back panel of the laptop from where the battery was located.

    • Remove the three screws with a #00 Phillips screwdriver.

    • Once the screws have been taken out gently lift up the fan and remove it from the device.
