Introduction
Memory, commonly known as RAM, is largely responsible for the speed of a computer, as it allows data to to be read and written. Improving your computers RAM may increase speed and allow your computer to run more programs simultaneously. The HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11z-e000 comes with 4gb of RAM. Typical RAM sizes range from 4gb-16gb. This laptop has one memory module slot which allows it to be upgraded to 8gb.

Remove battery by pushing the two tabs and pulling the battery outwards slowly but firmly.

Slide a spudger under the outer plastic cover of the laptop

Pull off the plastic cover of the laptop.
